Top Nutritional Supplements for Kids

There are three such top nutritional supplements for kids that they need  over any other type of supplements and those are a multi vitamin, the omega fatty acids, and probiotics.

Ideally, it is best to gain these nutrients from foods in the diets, but the truth is the diets today lack in most of the vital nutrients.

Since the vast majority of children do not eat the best diets, they must gain these nutrients in the form of nutritional supplements.

Multi Vitamin Supplements

The multi vitamin children need should cover most of the vitamins, A, B, C, and D.  Many multi vitamins will have trace amount of some of the minerals included.

Iron should only be given if a health care provider has determined the child is anemic, otherwise iron supplements should not be given to children because they should receive enough iron within their diets.

Even some processed or enriched foods will have iron added.  It is important to make sure the multi vitamin contains enough vitamin c though.

Vitamin C helps the body to process the iron derived from foods.

Probiotic Supplements

The probiotics nutritional supplements for kids are important because they help with digestion.

Digestive issues can plague children and it may be due in part to a diet lacking in these beneficial nutrients.

If the body can properly assimilate and digest the foods consumed, the result is a healthier immune system and an overall good feeling of well being.

Consider probiotics as nature's way of helping us to feel better and stay healthier.

Omega Fatty Acid Supplements

Omega fatty acids are highly beneficial to children.  The brain is the main area these fatty acids helps but it also improves the heart as well.

Omega 3 fatty acids help to boost brain power, enabling the child to learn better and for their brain to develop at optimum levels.

Omega 3 also helps with moods and behaviors promoting a peaceful disposition and emotional stability.

One of the best ways to receive the omega 3 fatty acids is through fish oil.  However fish oils are not always tolerable for children (or adults), making it difficult to take.

Digestive issues occur with some fish oil supplements.  Krill oil has proven to be much easier on the digestive system and it contains optimum levels of omega 3 fatty acids.

Krill oil comes in liquid so it is an easy supplement for children to take on a daily basis.
