Coconut oil lip balm is gaining popularity because of its awesome benefits and you can even make it yourself.
Coconut oil has taken the health and fitness industry by storm.
It’s a great way to add flavor to stir fry and many other healthy dishes, and it’s also a nourishing, hydrating treat for your hair and skin.
If you want luscious lips that are always soft and kissable, learning to make your own coconut oil lip balm is a good DIY project for the upcoming weekend.
There is a growing body of scientific research that supports the amazing health benefits of coconut oil.
While it is 90-100% fat and contains a lot of saturated fat that is associated with heart disease, studies have shown that it’s less likely to clog your arteries than other saturated fats.
In fact, populations that consume a lot of coconuts on a daily basis have extremely low rates of cardiovascular disease.
The secret to these health benefits is the structure of the fat.
Coconut oil is composed of medium-chain triglycerides, which are shorter than the triglycerides found in other saturated fats.
It’s also free of cholesterol. These fats are absorbed into the body faster than others, and then they make their way to the liver.
The liver then uses the fat to supply energy to sustain your activity level, which is why many people experience higher energy levels when consuming coconut oil on a routine basis.
You know the health benefits of coconut oil for your heart now, but what about your lips?
Many people use it as a lip balm because it leaves the skin soft and moist.
Take a quick look at the proven benefits of coconut oil for the skin on all areas of your body:
Many people apply coconut oil directly to their skin to gain these benefits, but it’s not easy to do that with your lips.
Keep reading to see how you can make your own coconut oil lip balm at home.
Are you ready to apply those skin benefits directly to your lips?
